She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Rose Jackson and Marvin Lenwood Jackson; her husband Charles Cyril Edwards, Jr.; and her sister Margaret Ann Jackson Purkerson. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Anne Edwards Austin (Bill) of New Bern and Charles Lenwood "Len" Edwards (Lisa) of Knoxville, TN; and her grandchildren, Christopher David Edwards (Jamie) of New Bern, Melissa Edwards Alcorn (Matthew) of Clinton, TN, Keri Elizabeth Edwards of Petersburg, VA, Samuel Barrett Edwards of New Bern, Charles Cyril "Chuck" Edwards, IV (Allison) of New Bern, Anne Caroline Austin of Raleigh and Catherine Rose Austin of Chapel Hill. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
