It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael P. Hansen of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Paul "Mike" and Gladys VanDyke "Happy" Hansen; and his grandson Emery Humphrey. He is survived by: his wife Margie; his children, Todd Hansen and Kristi; his son-in-law Trey Humphrey; his daughter Heidi Hansen (Gianfranco Michelini); his sister Linda Berry; and his grandchildren, Hailey Humphrey, Aria Hansen, Stone Hansen, Justus Hansen and Samantha Hansen.
