He is survived by: his parents, Samuel Stenger and Jane Sigourney Stenger of New Bern, NC; his sisters, Susan Elizabeth Stenger of Boston, MA and Cynthia Stenger Stockstill (Eric) of Tallahassee, FL; his nephews, Samuel Roy Stockstill (Lauren Vance) of Lexington, VA, Luke Oscar Stockstill of Falls Church, VA and Charles Allen Stockstill of Tallahassee, FL; his great-niece Eleanor Catherine Stockstill; and his great-nephew William Vance Stockstill of Lexington, VA. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
When the Pandemic descended on us, he packed up and drove back across the country, narrating an online travelogue of all the historic sites and natural wonders he visited along the way.
