It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Theresa Flaherty of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward F. Flaherty. She is survived by: her children, Mary Connelly (John) of New Bern, Sean Flaherty (Cheyenne) of Bayside, NY and Germaine Burns (James) of New Bern; and her grandchildren, Peter "P. J." Connelly of New Bern, Matthew Burns of Raleigh, Evan Connelly of Denver, CO and Lauren Burns (Reddington) of Albemarle.
