He was predeceased by: his wife Annabell. He is survived by: his children, Marvin E. Waters II (Gwendolyn Gracie Newkirk) and Crystal Taylor (Buddy) of New Bern; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Marie Waters and Hunter Taylor.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Religious Community services.
