She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Whitlow and Willie Whitlow; and her sisters, Becky Ashmore and Gay Harold. She is survived by: her husband Edward A. Bellis; her children, Edward A. Bellis, IV and Laura L. Bellis; and her grandchildren, Jordan A. Bellis and Kara M. Bellis. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law and their spouses as well as eight nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and in gratitude for their excellent care, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Craven County Hospice.
