It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Burgos of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Regino Burgos and Petronila Ramirez Burgos. She is survived by: her husband Lupercio Burgos; her children, Antonio Cruz, Luis Cruz (Christine), Elvin Cruz Sr. (Carmen), Karen Cruz, Adeliz Burgos and Blas Damary Burgos; her grandchildren, Elvin Jr., Michael, Justin, Regine, Christopher, Demi, Joshua, Desiree, Jo, Marissa, Angel Miguelito, Taina, Jazlyn and Carlito; and her pet Sixto. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
