She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Tunstall and Helen Tunstall; her husband Troy Howerin; her son Troy "Butch" Howerin; her brothers, William, Bobby, Thomas and Joe Tunstall; and her great grandchild Joshua Salsman.

She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Dawson and Deborah Cowan (Billy); her sister Reba Canady; her grandchildren, Chris Dawson (Soo), Christina Bailey (Brad) and Amanda Brinson; and her great grandchildren, Alex Salsman, Brandon Salsman, Gabrielle Salsman, Annabelle Bailey, Haydn Dawson, Addison Brinson and Garrett Brinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
