Lynton Eldridge Stephenson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynton Eldridge Stephenson of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stephenson and Martha Stephenson; his wife Joyce Stephenson; his siblings, Mary Holleman and John Stephenson; and his son-in-law Robert "Bob" Murray.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Murray; his granddaughters, Jessica Harris (Keith) and Lindsey Mott; his great grandchildren, Ella Joyce, Lillie Marie and Ryan Sophia; his sister-in-law Ruby Morgan (Marshall); and his close friends, Christine McPhee, Anita Myers and Kenneth Evans. He is also survived by many loving family members and close friends.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Cotten Funeral Home (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560). The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wake Chapel Church Cemetery (905 Wake Chapel Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526).
