He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette Gibson; his siblings, Charlie Gibson and Mary; his grandson Todd Elzy; and his son-in-law Jim Elzy.

He is survived by: his children, Luke Gibson (Hope), David Gibson (Samantha) and Jenny Elzy; and his grandchildren, April Gaskins (Ray), Spencer Gibson, Patrick Gibson (Windsor), Baylee Ipock (Logan), Michelle Millett (Scott), Renee Jeffries (Steve) and Jeanette Nix (Tony). He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great Grandchildren.
