She is survived by: her husband Stephen W. Walsh; her sons, Dannie Godley and Snowdee Harrison; her sister Sybil (Jerry); her sisters-in-law, Patti, Mary Lou and Evelyn; her children, Carolyn (Nie), Patti, Joanne (Ron), Stephen and William (Cathy); her grandchildren, Sonya (Ben), Susan, Sarah (Stephen), Meredith (Adam), Victoria, Matthew (Abby), Stephen and Stephanie; her great grandchildren, Farrah, Benny, Ryan, Julia and Joseph; and her great great grandchildren, Jensen and Miles. She is also survived by five children, and had eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two greatgreatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-family relatives.

Donations may be made in Elsie's name to Coastal Women's Shelter of Craven County.
