It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Evanger Dicktel of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Lucille departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lucille may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lucille leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Wilson Evanger and Erika Veronica Steffens; and her husband Don Dicktel. She is survived by: her son David E. Dicktel (Ashley R. Dicktel); her granddaughters, Lauren N. Dicktel and Addison Haskins; and her great grandchildren, Caroline Haskins and Kennedy Haskins.
