She was predeceased by: her parents, Heber Edwards and Essie Edwards; her husband Joseph Thomas "J. T." Cox, Jr.; and her daughters, Linda Cox Edmondson and Brenda Cox Hinshaw.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Thomas "Tommy" Cox, III (Julie) of Wilmington, Patricia Cox Fodel (Tommy) of Jamestown and Kristi Cox Peters of Little Rock, AR; and her grandchildren, Russ Edmondson, Jay Cox, Chris Edmondson, Kyle Hinshaw, Josh Hinshaw, Reece Peters, Mary Love Edmondson, Anna Love Logan, Anna Elizabeth Moser, Mary Kathryn Fodel and Katie Love Dillon (Elliot Peters). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
