She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Slaughter and Bertha Slaughter; and her husband Joseph Vance Rowe, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Denise Sweat of Greenville, SC, Joseph Vance Rowe, Jr. (Karen) of New Bern, Victor Rowe and Tracy Herring of New Bern; her siblings, Abner Slaughter of Graham, NC, Rachel Dawson of New Bern and Margaret Medlin of Pleasant Garden, NC; her grandchildren, Reid Duncan (Julie), Steven Sweat (Ashlean), Misty Boyd (Max) and Joshua Rowe; and her great grandchildren, Gavin Boyd, Briana Sweat, Sadie Sweat and Amber Sweat.
