He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thurman Monroe Garris, Sr. and Thelma Bell Garris; his wife Beverly Garris; his siblings, Tim Garris, Paul Garris and Patsy Garris; his children, Danny Garris (Deana), Denise Garris Mercer and Brook Garris Mercer; his grandchildren, Kenny Mercer (Hannah), Jessica Acevedo (Chris), Emily Spruill (Jeremy) and Scott Mercer; his great grandchildren, Jennings, Braxton, Grayson, Waylon, Christopher, Lilliana and Roman; and his brothers, Bobby Garris and Billy Garris.
