She was predeceased by: her sons, John and Aaron Sawyer; and her parents, John Stewart MacCormack and Elsa Veronica Hackett MacCormack. She is survived by: her children, David Sawyer (Maribel), Paul Sawyer (Donna) of Malena, Veraguas, Panama, Stephen Sawyer (Connie) of New Bern and Laurie Sawyer Adams (Veston) of New Bern; and her sister Gloria MacCormack Price of Raleigh. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
