With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Franklin Rhodes (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on October 13, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marion Rudolph and Glennie Rhodes; his daughter Gloria "Pam" Porter (Ray); his grandson Nick Porter of Chapel Hill; his great grandchild John Lee Rhodes (Tiffany) of Pflugerville; his brother Glenn Rhodes; his sister-in-law Joan Rhodes; his friends, Robert Lee and Duane Miller; and his brothers, Rudy Rhodes and Charles Rhodes.

The family requests donations to the Friends of Ft. Macon or Broad and Gales Creek EMS instead of flowers.
