He was predeceased by: his parents, Cosmo Battista and Anna Battista; and his sister Barbara Totten. He is survived by: his wife Linda Anne Battista; his children, Carol Gilman (John) and John Battista, Jr. (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Casey Myers (Breanna), Anna Battista, Grace Battista and Paul Battista; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Lillian and Leah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
