He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Bailey and Dorothy Leslie Thames; and his brother Neal Thames. He is survived by: his wife Kitty Conner of New Bern; his children, Marci Thames Sauls (Steven) of Selma and Tod Thames (Melissa) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Alexandria Thames, Chandler Thames, Caleb Thames and Alexandria Sauls; and his siblings, Mike Thames (Patricia) of Lubbock, TX and Marianne Hancock (Craig) of Lubbock, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
