He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Jesse Mercer Jr. (Amanda) of Pollocksville and Nancy Mercer Smith (Preston) of Trenton; his siblings, Billy Mercer (Ann) of Trenton, Nola Pate (Roger) of Mt. Olive and Donna McKinney (Ronnie) of Trenton; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jared, Scott, Jacob, Morgan, Sarah, David and Kevin; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Mercer. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
