With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James P. Harriett of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on February 15, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father James Foscue Harriett; and his son William Ryal Harriett. He is survived by: his sons, James Tyler Harriett (Jennifer) of Youngsville, N. C. and Joshua Sasnett Harriett of Washington; his close friend Ann Taylor of New Bern; his grandchildren, Landon Edward Moss, Thatcher James Harriett and Palmer Elise Harriett; his mother Louise Collins Harriett of Pollocksville; and his sister Olivia Louise Willis of New Bern.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
