We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2021, at the age of 85, Helen Thomas Evans (New Bern, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Frank Evans; her children, Debra E. Finkley of New Bern, Veronica Evans-Mattocks of New Bern, Frank Evans, Jr. of New Carrollton, Maryland and Gary D. Mattocks, Sr. of New Bern; her grandchildren, Eboni E. Alexander (Jeff) of Durham, Samantha Powell of Concord, Jauron Oree of Winston-Salem, Frank Evans III of Winston-Salem and Gary D. Mattocks, Jr. of Largo, Maryland; and her sisters, Ethel T. Harris of Memphis, TN, Laverna T. Cammack of New Bern and Dora T. Wilson of Philadelphia, PA. She was also cherished by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends along with many adopted children and Grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their most sincerest of "thank you's" to each of you during this time but due to Covid-19, they are requesting NO VISITORS at the residence.
