With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Smith Mills of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Edwards Mills; and her daughter Cynthia Mills Ives. She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Mills (Cindi), Greg Mills and Thomas Mills (Jodie); her son-in-law Walter T. Ives; and her grandchildren, Angie Jones, Sheila Lambert (Paul), Michael Mills (Tina), Steven Mills (Sarah), Jeffrey Mills, Jeremy Mills, Aaron Mills and Justin Mills (Lexi). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made in her name to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
