She was predeceased by: her parents, Van Dyke Freeman Sr. and Esther Mae Harris Freeman. She is survived by: her sons, James Dixon Jr. of Trenton, NC and Keith Dixon of San Diego, Cal; and her siblings, Leamon Freeman of Hemingway, SC, Van Dyke Freeman Jr. of Washington, DC, Van M. Freeman, Dennis Freeman of Cove City, NC, Linda McCarter, Eldress Edna Wiggins, Dorothy Freeman, Sally Strayhorn of Cove City, Sara Bess of Florence, SC and Clementine Wikins of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by four granddaughters, and five great grandchildren.
