He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Warren; and his father Julius Warren. He is survived by: his mother Annette Warren; his daughters, Melissa Lee (Dan) and Rachel Hartford (Cameron); his grandchildren, Parker, Riley and Benaiah; and his brothers, Edwin Warren, Greg Warren (Tammy), Gary Warren and Douglas Warren. He is also survived by many loving family members and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested gifts be made to Kennedy Home, the Baptist Children's Home of North Carolina at bchfamily.org.
