He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Hynes; his daughter Elizabeth; his son-in-law Brad Gurganus; his son Brendan Hynes; his siblings, Eleanor Hynes Redican, Ann Hynes, Thomas J. Hynes II and David Hynes; and his sons, Nhut, Air Commando Squadron, Intelligence Officer and Navigator.
