He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edwin Babcock and Elizabeth Marie Baier Babcock; and his wife Phyllis Babcock. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Babcock Miller and Harry Babcock; and his children, Denise Catherine Babcock Miano of New York, George William Babcock of New York, Michael Patrick Babcock of New York, Brian Keith Babcock of New York, Lillian Elizabeth Babcock Banaszak of New Bern, Merrill Barton Nelson of Arizona, Henry Louis Nelson of New Hampshire, Lenora Elaine Lysogorski of New Bern, Diana Jean Brown of Pollocksville and Keith Richard Nelson of New Bern. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
