She is survived by: her children, Nancy Connor (Ted) of New Bern, James Best, Jr. (Diane) of Durham and Michael Best (Brigette) of Winterville; her grandchildren, Tiffany Best of Newport, Jacob Best (Kimberly) of Kinston, Rachel Connor of New Bern, Bradley Connor of Wilmington, Kyle Best of Winterville and Skyler Best of Raleigh; her great grandchildren, Emerson Best and Lillian Harper Norris; her brothers, James Sasso (Susan) of Pennsylvania and Eugene Sasso (Linda) of Pennsylvania; and her pet Sweet Pea.
