With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Neal Johnston of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Dublin, Ohio, who passed away on April 30, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Johnston and Eileen Johnston (Shriver); and his granddaughter Jordan B. Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Alice Johnston; his stepchildren, Robert Heisner (Claudia), June Carrasco (Mike), Laurie Needham (David) and Cheryl Johnston; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Trevor, Jake Needham, Paytyn, Cheyanne Johnston, Hayden and Kirsten Heisner; his great grandchildren, Mia Jacobi, Jordan Johnston and Adrian Santiago; his brother David Johnston (Cheryl); and his nieces, Tarah, Hailey and Leeann Johnston.
