She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Sutton and Pearl Sutton. She is survived by: her nephew Dr. Ken Branch of Candler; her nieces, Denise Cannon (Jeff) of Wilmington and Susan Meier (Ollie) of Charlotte; her husband Bob Gavalek; and her former spouse Okie Black.
