She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, William E. Whitfield of New Bern, Albert Lee Whitfield of New Bern, Thelma Ware Ward and Mary Dianne Mobley of Fayetteville, NC; and her siblings, Albert Cox of New Bern, Ethel Raynor and Ellen Marie Whitfield. She was also cherished by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
