He was predeceased by: his mother Ivy Manning; his siblings, Will Brite and Myra Weber; and his half-siblings, Johnny, Jimmy Manning and Martha Dunn.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Luckadoo Brite; his daughters, Cathy Bernhardt and Linda Clark (Aaron); and his stepdaughters, Melissa Morales (Juan) and Debbie LaFreniere (Leon). He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, five step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cotten Funeral Home (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1500 Kingdom Way, New Bern, NC 28560.
