He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Phister Stiles; his aunt Gloria Childress; and his mother-in-law Norma Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Debra Burke-Simpkins; his son Devan Emerys Simpkins; his brother Peter L. Simpkins (Linda) of Lima, NY; his father-in-law Dale Taylor of Greenwood, AR; his siblings-in-law, Paul M. Burke of Benton Harbor, MI and Amy A. Burke of Colorado; and his pet Retriever. He is also survived by 4 nephews, 1 niece and 1 great niece.
