It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earlene White Mitchell of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix White and Vera White; and her husband Elmus "Buddy" Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Donna Moran (Bill) of New Bern, Stephen Mitchell (Jacqueline) of New Bern and Leonard Mitchell (Selena) of New Bern; her sister Sally Smith of Deep Run; her sister-in-law Jean Burroughs of New Bern; her grandchildren, Christina Wethington (Terry), Jason Weldon, Sam Mitchell (Jennifer) and Nicholas Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Alex Wethington, J. J. Weldon, Jeremiah Reher and Lucas Mitchell; her pets, Peanut, C. J. and Smokey; and her close friends, Harvey and Janet Parrish.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Highland Park Christian Church, 905 Carolina Avenue, Trent Woods, NC 28562.
