He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wilson and Gertrude Gaskins Wilson; his siblings, Edward Earl, Robert Frederick, Hugh W., Lindy, Emma Ree and Hazel Marie; and his nephews, Edward Earl Wilson Jr. and Robert Earl Wilson.

He is survived by: his brother Jimmie L. Wilson (Maggie); and his nieces, Betty Lou Wiley (Michael), Shannon Gisman, Amy, Danielle and Beverly Wilson. He is also survived by two great nephews and three great nieces.
