It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Wayne Blount (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hampton Angelo Blount and Betty Mae Tyndall Blount. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cahoon Blount; his children, Christopher Douglas Blount, Debbie Blount Elks and Jeffery Wayne Blount; his stepchildren, Melissa Hearne Williams (Ricky) and J. Daniel Hearne; his grandchildren, Abigail Elks, Allison Elks and Connor Elks; and his brothers, Neil Blount and Allen Blount (Denise).
