She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Thornton and Corena Brown Thornton; and her siblings, Melba Reason, Shirley Barefoot and John Marshall "Tommy" Thornton.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Leigh Mock (Dennis Mock) and William Kent Yancey; her siblings, Peggy Bryant, Linda Parrish and Willie Thornton (Glenda); her grandchildren, William Derek Yancey (Ashley Long Yancey), Monica Lynn Yancey Rich (Jeffrey Lynn Rich) and Kyle Dennis Mock (Taren Mock); and her great grandchildren, Ely Peyton Yancey, Jaxon Grey Yancey, Audrey Lynn Rich, Hazelyn James Rich, Wyatt Mock and Elizabeth June Mock.
