It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Wayne Umstead (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on January 19, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Joan Tucker Umstead; his stepmother Sarah Umstead; his son Michael Thomas Umstead; his sisters, Kim Umstead Ipock (Donald), Felicia Newman and Janice Umstead; his father Donald Umstead; and his grandparents, Joseph, Arkie Tucker, John and Della Umstead. He was also cherished by two nieces and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
