We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2023, at the age of 85, Donald Bruce Michaels in New Bern, North Carolina, born in North Wales, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Gause and John J. Michaels; and his daughter Melissa Michaels of Oakland, CA.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Michaels (Ritter); his daughter Jennifer Michaels; his son-in-law James McCarthy; and his granddaughters, Katelyn and Alana of Westborough, MA. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don's memory to Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, 1605 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, 28560 or to the environmental organization Earthjustice.
