She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Nathan Wellington; her parents, Ruby Haire and Carson Alexander Clippard, Sr.; and her siblings, Carson Alexander Clippard, Jr. and Glenda Yvonne Lester.

She is survived by: her sons, Jason Bryant Wellington (Laura Whaley) of Wilmington and Patrick Brock Wellington (Theresa Ann) of Indian Land, S. C.; her grandchildren, Charlie, Betsy Wellington of Wilmington and Luke Wellington of Indian Land, S. C.; and her sister-in-law Michelle Whitfield (Dwayne Whitfield) of La Grange.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, N.C., 28401.
