Deane W. Garris Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deane W. Garris of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Darrel Garris; and her parents, Kirby Wooten and Effie Wooten. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Bryan (Ray) of Ernul, Kenneth Garris of Fayetteville, Connie Hill of Bayboro and Linda Revels (Greg) of Powhatan, Virginia; her sister Bessie Firnhaber of Durham; her grandchildren, Maggie Brown (Chris), Denise Burns (Tony), Yong Hee Garris, Yong Lan Meehan (Mike) and Jarrett Revels (Gabriella); and her great grandchildren, AJ, Landon, Annabel, Bobby, Rex and Dean.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in her name to the Gideons International.
