She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Linwood Walker and Evelyn Voliva Walker; her son Roger Dale Barber, Jr.; and her brothers, Jesse Richard Walker and Hal Duffy Walker.

She is survived by: her daughter Angela Renee Barber of Aurora, NC; her sisters, Katy Stilley of Aurora, NC and Brenda Turnage of Bayboro, NC; and her grandchildren, Barry McNinch, Avery McNinch, Dylan Ward, Hope Barber and Layna Barber.
