With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darcus Keeter Wicker of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Darcus Keeter departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Darcus Keeter. Though Darcus Keeter may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Keeter and Rita Keeter; and her siblings, Robert "Sonny" Keeter Jr. and Gail Keeter. She is survived by: her husband Nick Wicker; her sons, Nick Wicker Jr. (Marie) and Daniel Wicker (Sarah); her grandchildren, Mia, Georgia and Cole; her great grandchild Cooper; and her brother Gregory Keeter. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members and close friends.
A reception will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cotten Funeral Home (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560).
