He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvia Strong and Elsie Strong; his wife Adrian "Peg" Strong; his siblings, Vergil Strong and Pearl Strong; his stepson Steven McCoy; and his son-in-law David Robinson.

He is survived by: his children, Wallace Strong (Bonnie), Corinne Dennis (Rich), Melinda Strong-Alexander (Ken) and Jenna Robinson; and his stepson Bobby McCoy. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and close friends.
