She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Richard James Lewis; her husband Lloyd "Rashan" Shivers; her children, Chamir Shivers (Jamila), Charone Shivers and Chadir "Chaka" Shivers (Danielle); her mother Johnnie Mae Lewis; her parents-in-law, Ruby Shivers and Pete Shivers; her grandchildren, Jamel, Jayla, Aria, Eliza and Chadir Jr.; her sisters, Pam Lewis, Cheryl "Wakia" Cotton (Freeman) and Charlotte "Kydedra" Lewis; her siblings-in-law, Stephanie Stephens, Waheed Shivers and Walter "Sabir" Shivers; her nieces and nephews, Chontey "TaeTae" Thomas (Markel), Shardae Leverette, Jadon Russell, Hashec Lewis of Barry, Dixon and Jahlil Lewis; her son Askia Shivers (Octavia); her cousins, Mary Ellen "Peachie", Vanessa "Nessa" Shelly and Monique "Mo"; her godmother Daphine Taylor; her godchildren, Yahesha, Hakeem, Champagne, Mecca and Unique; and her close friends, Nora Barcliff, Towana Robinson Myers and Teresa Boone. She was also cherished by loving fur baby "Lovely", and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside services must wear a mask.
