Bettie Lou Jones Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bettie Lou Jones of New Bern, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her husband George Jones Jr.; her former husband David Powell; her daughters, Linda Webb and Vicki Heath; her son-in-law Carlton Heath; her parents, Raymond Murphy and Margaret Murphy; and her brothers, Chester Murphy, Mitchell Murphy and Lawrence Murphy.
She is survived by: her son George "Eric" Jones (Jordan); her granddaughters, Kennedy and Kamryn of New Bern, NC; her brother David Murphy (Jennie Lynn) of Pensacola, FL; her son-in-law Doug Webb; and her grandchildren, Robbie Webb (Jordan), Tammy Thompson (Brian) of Saratoga, NC and Daniel Heath. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenleaf Memorial Park (900 River Rd, New Bern, NC 28562).
