She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Staten (Cherie) of Greenville, Judy Gladden (Bill) of Raleigh, Steve Hopewell of New Bern, Guy Hopewell III (Gail) of Spring Garden and Paula Nix of New Bern; her sister Jane Armstrong of New Bern; her grandchildren, Christopher Staten (Karyn) of Portsmouth, Paula Cunningham of Greenville, Chelsie Beasley of Spring Garden, Sarah Hopewell of Spring Garden, Ashley Gish of Greenville, Brandon Santa Rosa of Boston, MA and Savanna Nix of Miami, FL; and her great grandchildren, Jeffrey (Matty), Olivia and Bentley.
