It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Groschan (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on December 13, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband John W. Groschan; her children, Cathy James (Chuck), Jim Groschan (Cathy), Mary Groschan, Lisa Miclot (Pete), Jeanne Riley (Terry), Chris Cooper (John) and John F. Groschan; and her brothers, Daniel Counselman (Joan) and Michael Counselman (Pam). She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family asks that anyone attending wear a face mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in Barbara's name to R.C.S. (Religious Community Services) of New Bern.
