He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister-in-law Geraldine; his brothers, Gerald Banister (Carolyn) of Starr, SC and Rex Bannister (Jeannie) of Kinston, NC.; his wife Wanda; his children, Al, Jr. (Regina) of New Bern, NC and Lisa of Roanoke, VA; his brothers, Harold Banister (Louise) of Atlanta, GA, Ray Banister (Ruby Lee) of Greer, SC and Doyle Bannister (Linda) of Anderson, SC; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Banister, Jeannie Bannister and Linda Dixon (Ronnie); his parents, Ben Bannister and Ellen Bannister; his close friends, Russell Warren, Robin Wright and Bill Bento; and his adoptive mother Emily (Ethan Harrell).
