He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allen Mooring and Ellen Alice Mooring; and his great grandchild Anthony Munoz. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jones Smith of Comfort; and his children, Joanie Collars (Jay), Jeanie Criste (Rick), Al Mooring, Jr. (Elaine) and Dennis Mooring (Vicki).
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howard - Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Howard Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504).
